The weaving center is open Monday through Thursday and closed Friday through Sunday during class sessions. Winter classes begin on January 11, 2027 and run through March 8th. The director is available Monday and Thursday from 3:00 pm to 6:00 pm and Tuesday and Wednesday from 2:00 pm to 6:00 pm. The director can be reached via email at grandac@milwaukeepublicschools.org.
Open weave is available to registered weavers with an active project on a loom for a fee of $3.00. Weavers must be experienced and capable of weaving without instructor oversight as there is no weaving instruction for open weave. Open weave is not available to beginning weavers. Effective November 9, 2026, open weave hours are: (11/9) 2-8:00; (11/10 & 11/11) 2-5:30; (11/12) 2:30-8:00; (11/16) 2-8:00; (11/17 & 11/18) 2-5:30; (11/19) 2-5:00. Check this space for changes and additional hours when classes are not in session.
